By Plane

When arriving in Brussels Airport (BRU) the most convenient way to get to the centre of Brussels is by train. There is a train station at the lowest level of the airport with frequent trains departing in the direction of Brussels. Note that these trains may have various final destinations beyond Brussels: some possiblities are Antwerp; Bergen; Brugge; De Panne; Doornik; Kortrijk; Oostende. Be careful not to take a train in a direction away from Brussels.

You should buy a ticket in the train station prior to boarding the train. Tickets can be purchased at the ticketing machines or service desk at the station and cost approx 12 EUR.

Trains in the direction of Brussels always stop in the three Brussels stations North, Central and South (Zuid/Midi), in this order. The Brussels North Station is the closest to the conference venue and many hotels and is the one where you typically want to get off the train. The trip from the airport to the Central Station typically lasts approx 17 minutes.

Of course, you can also reach the city centre by taxi at a cost of approx 45 EUR.

By Train

Those arriving in Brussels by international train (such as ICE, Thalys, Eurostar) will typically arrive in North or South station.

The Eurostar train links London and Brussels in 1h51 minutes. Trains depart/arrive at the Brussels South Station (Bruxelles Midi/Brussel Zuid) and depart/arrive at the London St. Pancras International Terminal. Up to 9 daily departures. It also stops at Ashford/England. For the Eurostar train, you need to reserve your seat in advance.

The Thalys train links Paris and Brussels in 85 minutes. There are 25 Thalys trains departing daily in each direction between Paris and Brussels. Thalys roundtrip fares start at $96 (2nd class). Trains depart/arrive at the Brussels South Station (Bruxelles Midi/Brussel Zuid) and depart/arrive at the Paris North Station (Paris Nord) or at the Charles De Gaulle Airport. It also links Brussels to Koln and Amsterdam in 2h30 minutes

How to reach Hotel Le Plaza ?

From the airport:

The Le Plaza Hotel is located about 30 minutes from Brussels airport.

By Train:
The airport train station is located below the terminal (basement level -1). Up to 4 trains per hour connect the airport to Brussels North station.
By Taxi:
Taxis are easily found in front of the airport. Airport – Le Plaza Brussels will cost you approximately 50 euros and will take you about 20 minutes.

From the Midi train station :

By Métro/Tram:
Take the line 6, direction Simonis Elisabeth, to the Rogier station.Rogier.
By Taxi:
Taxis are easily found in front of the station. This will cost you approximately 15 euros and will take you about 10 minutes.

From the North train station:

By foot: (5 minutes)
Take the rue du Progrès and head towards the place Rogier. Go straight ahead until you reach the Le Plaza hotel, on the right side of the boulevard.
By Métro/Tram:
Take the line 3 or 4, direction Churchill or Stalle, to the Rogier station.

From the Central train station:

By Metro:
Take the line 1 or 5, direction Gare de l’Ouest or Erasme. Get off at De Brouckère station and take the line 3 or 4, direction Esplanade or Gare du Nord, to the Rogier station.
By Taxi:
taxis are easily found in front of the station. This will cost you approximately 10 euros and will take you 5 – 10 minutes.

By Car :
